Who can come inside Lyfe Dispensary?
Only adults 21 years of age or older may enter the store. No minors are allowed inside the store. Do not leave children and pets unattended in your vehicle.
Only service animals are allowed.
Do we have on-site security and how do we keep guests safe?
Yes. Lyfe has trained on-site security with a goal to keep our environment welcoming and safe.

Product Questions
How should I store my cannabis in the car when I drive away?
Products must be out of reach and in the original sealed container.
How should I store my products at home?
For quality, refer to manufacturer recommendations but the majority of products should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry and dark place.
For safety, store products in a secure place out of the reach of children, anyone under 21, and pets. For more information about safe storage refer to prevention.org/ for more information.
What different types of cannabis products are available?
There are many different forms of cannabis products available. Cannabis flower is the most popular form available but other products such as vapes, concentrates, edibles, topicals, tinctures and more are available. If you have questions about any products, come visit us and one of our team members will happily guide you through the wide range of product types.

How do you know the quality of the products?
All products sold are required by the state to be lab tested for purity, potency and quality. We only buy products from manufacturers we trust. That being said, if you have any issues with products purchased from Lyfe, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase.
What are the risks associated with cannabis consumption?

Can I take cannabis out of state?
No. It is illegal to transport cannabis across any state lines.
The short answer is no. According to the National institue on Drug Abuse There are no reports of teens or adults dying from marijuana alone. However, some people who use marijuana can feel some very uncomfortable side effects, especially when using marijuana products with high THC levels. People have reported symptoms such as anxiety and paranoia, and in rare cases, an extreme psychotic reaction (which can include delusions and hallucinations) that can lead them to seek treatment in an emergency room.

What are the age requirements to purchase cannabis?
You must be 21 or older to purchase.
What forms of ID do we accept?
Valid and current State ID, Drivers License, US or International Passport, Military ID, Native Tribe ID
How often is our menu updated?
Our menus are linked to our inventory and will reflect what is currently available . Some products run out quickly. Ordering ahead of time online is the best way to ensure getting the product you want when you arrive. If we are unable to provide you with a product you are looking for, a team member will be able to suggest comparable products.
Do you have products that are not listed in the online store?
Everything shown in the online store is what is currently available in store. But please let us know if there’s anything you are looking for and we’ll look into bringing it in the store.

- In Illinois, cannabis products are taxed at different rates depending on their type and the amount of THC they contain. Here’s a breakdown of the tax rates for different cannabis products:
- Flower/Leaves/Plants : Products with a THC level at or below 35% are taxed at 10% of the purchase price.
- Infused Products (Edibles, Tinctures, etc.): Products that are infused with cannabis (regardless of their THC content) are taxed at 20% of the purchase price.
- Concentrates (Vapes, Waxes, etc.): Products with a THC level above 35% (not including infused products) are taxed at 25% of the purchase price.
- These tax rates are in addition to the standard state sales tax of 6.25% and any local sales taxes that may apply. Also, municipalities and counties are allowed to impose additional taxes on cannabis sales.
- It’s important to note that these tax rates are applied at the point of sale and are paid by the consumer. The revenue generated from these taxes is then distributed according to the breakdown provided in the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act.
Where does the money paid in taxes go?
- Cannabis Regulation Fund: 45% of the revenue is allocated to this fund, which covers the costs of administering and enforcing the cannabis regulations.
- General Revenue Fund: 35% of the revenue goes to the state’s General Revenue Fund, which supports various state programs and services.
- Community College Cannabis Vocational Training Pilot Program: 2% of the revenue is allocated to support cannabis vocational training programs in community colleges.
- Local Governments: 8% of the revenue is distributed to local governments, with the distribution based on the location of cannabis sales.
- Drug Treatment and Prevention: 2% of the revenue is dedicated to substance abuse prevention and treatment.
- Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board: 2% of the revenue goes to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board to develop training programs for law enforcement.
- Restoring Our Communities (ROC) Program: 2% of the revenue is allocated to the ROC Program, aimed at reinvesting in communities disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs.
- Expungement and Legal Aid: 2% of the revenue is set aside to support expungement of cannabis-related convictions and provide legal aid.
- Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services: 2% of the revenue is dedicated to funding mental health and substance use disorder services.
- Department of Agriculture: 1% of the revenue goes to the Department of Agriculture for cannabis industry-related programs and initiatives.
- Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority: 1% of the revenue is allocated for crime prevention programs and for training and education of law enforcement personnel in the detection, investigation, and prevention of driving under the influence of cannabis.
How do I purchase or place an order?
At lyfe, we make purchasing easy with options depending on your desire to shop online or in-store, make a quick pick up or sit down with a consultant to learn about the best products for you. Can I purchase cannabis products without a medical card?
Yes. Illinois offers recreational sales to adults over 21 years old.

Why are your prices higher than other dispensaries?
Listed prices included taxes and fees so you will see all aspects of the cost up front. No surprises at check out!
Can I purchase cannabis if I am from out of state or out of country?
Yes. you can purchase as long as you are 21 or over and have a valid ID. You will have purchase limits though. See purchase limits for more information.
What are the purchase limits for in-state, out of state and international buyers?
- Illinois residents can purchase:
- up to 30 grams of flower
- up to 5 grams of concentrates (vape cartridges, budder, resin, etc…)
- up to 500 milligrams of infused products (tinctures, cannabis beverages, edibles, etc…)
- Non-residents can purchase:
- up to 15 grams of flower
- up to 2.5 grams of concentrates (vape cartridges, budder, resin, etc…)
- up to 250 milligrams of infused products (tinctures, cannabis beverages, edibles, etc…)
Can I make changes or cancel my order after I place it online?
You may cancel your order once it is placed. If you need to make changes to your order, please come to the store and we can help with any adjustments needed. You can also cancel your order and replace it with your changes.
Why do you scan ID’s and what do you do with private information?
All ID’s are scanned and checked to ensure accuracy. Private information is not gathered through this process and ID information, once validated, is deleted.
Returns, exchanges and defective/damaged products:
- Sorry. We cannot accept returns or exchanges.
- DO NOT BRING PRODUCTS BACK INTO THE STORE.
- If you have an issue with your product, please fill out this form within 24 hours of purchase and we will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours.

How much can I buy and why is it different from a med dispensary?
Lyfe is not a medical cannabis dispensary. All purchase limits are subject to the in-state recreational purchase limits set forth by the Illinois cannabis tax act. We are not allowed to sell up to the medical quantities. We do however, offer a 30% discount to Illinois medical card holders (non-stackable with other discounts)

Lyfe reward points are earned with each qualifying purchase. With every dollar spent, you earn 1 point. As your points accumulate, you can redeem them for discounts. Look out for notices about special point multiplier times!
Redeeming your points couldn’t be easier! At the time of purchase, open your app or online wallet, access the coupon code and show it to your cashier to redeem. Your points or reward will be applied to your cart total along with any other in-store discounts, if applicable.
How do I check points/rewards?
- You can check your available points two ways:
- on the app home screen – Click the rewards icon in the bottom left corner of your screen and you’ll be able to see your reward points as well as any available rewards.
- Or through your online wallet – Access My Lyfe Rewards and enter your phone number then you’ll be prompted to enter your pin.
- For easiest access, add your Lyfe Rewards Wallet link to your home screen like an app.
How fast do points accumulate?
Points accumulate 1 point for every $1 spent, pre-tax. The more you shop, the more points you receive!
Points earned can be used 24 hours after your current or initial purchase.
Yes. Points will expire 180 days after receiving them if you do not make another qualifying purchase to add to your point total.
What if I don’t want to download the app?
You will really be missing out on some fun, but you can also access your points through the weblink, Lyfe Rewards Login
For easiest access, add your Rewards Wallet link to your home screen like an app.
My points seem incorrect, how can I resolve this?
Email us at rewards@lyfeil.com and our team will promptly review your account with you.

Do you have a refer a friend program?
- Invite friends, earn green! Share your unique referral link through the Lyfe Rewards app and each time your friend signs up for Lyfe Rewards and completes a purchase of at least $40 or more (pre-tax), you get your choice of; pre-roll, vape cart, or edible and they get 150 bonus points.
- Referrals are also unlimited! The more friends that complete a purchase, the more rewards you get!
- How to Refer a Friend
- In your Lyfe Rewards App (in the app, top right corner, click the three lines, then click “refer”) or Online Digital Wallet invite and encourage your friends to join Lyfe Rewards by sending your link via text or email!
- You can also share your unique link on social channels!

What do you do with my information?
Lyfe values our guests’ privacy and will never share your information.
Your points are your points. They cannot be transferred to another account.
What is a qualifying purchase?
Points are earned on all purchases unless specifically noted. All points gained on a purchase that is later returned will be removed from your account.

Medical Card Holders & Medical Card Questions
How much can I buy and why is it different than a med dispensary?
2.5 ounces in a 14 day period is the current limit for the amount of medication that can be taken.
However, it is possible to request an increase to this limit by submitting a waiver or exception to your doctor. This is a useful option for those who may require more medication due to their specific medical needs.
How do I get a Medical Card?

Consultation can be done in-person or online through video chat. Find a doctor today. - Register
To get medical cannabis, fill out the form. You can choose to pay $50 for one year, $100 for two years, or $125 for three years. If you are a new patient, you need to make an account with the Medical Cannabis Pilot Program. - If you are approved online, you will receive a temporary digital card in your email within a day.
As of now, the current pricing for an Illinois Medical Marijuana card is:
- $50 for 1 year
- $100 for 2 years,
- or $125 for 3 years.
If you are a Veteran or currently receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), you have the option to apply as a ‘reduced fee applicant’ when seeking a medical marijuana card in the State of Illinois.
Reduced fees are available at:
- $25 for a 1-year card
- $50 for a 2-year card,
- $75 for a 3-year card.
To determine your eligibility, you will be required to provide either your Social Security Benefit Verification statements or a copy of Veteran Form DD-214 during the application process.
Pricing for medical card holders
Illinois medical card holders receive a 30% discount on cannabis products. This discount cannot be combined with any other deals and discounts.
